On September 27th, the Council of Hispanic Business Professionals hosted a Latin-themed gala to benefit Grace Place for Children and Families.
Attended by more than 100 people, guests included business leaders, elected officers, candidates to office, professionals, business owners and many other friends of both CHBP and Grace Place.
The Latin Night featured food and music from Latin American countries and even a cigar-roller. Held at Wyndemere Country Club in Naples, the event included a photo opportunity with a pristine Ford 1956 automobile.
Proceedings from the event will help Grace Place programs aimed to children and families in Golden Gate City, many of which are Hispanic. Those programs include Mon and Tot literacy, kindergarten readiness, school age programs on literacy, leadership, after school; as well as adult English language and literacy and a Food Pantry.
Every year CHBP chooses a charity of a program aimed to Hispanics in Collier County to help with fundraising to fund programs, mostly related to literacy, education, leadership, or health. Catholic Charities, Eden Autism of Florida, Boys and Girls Club, and the Youth Leadership program hosted by Leadership Collier Foundation.
